Data Not Collected

Tejuela is a tower-defense game about keeping the stave churches of Norway and the shingled churches of Chiloé standing. It does not collect any data about you, from you, or about your use of the app. Everything the game needs to run stays on your device.

What the app does not do

No account, sign-up or login of any kind.
No analytics, crash reporting or usage tracking.
No advertising and no ad networks.
No network access at all — Tejuela plays fully offline.
No purchases, subscriptions or paywalls.
No sharing of any information with third parties, because none is collected in the first place.

What is stored, and where

All game progress lives only on your device, never on a server:

Local game data (SwiftData) — which churches you have cleared, stars earned, workshop upgrades, unlocked church and craft cards, and pinned cards.

Local settings (UserDefaults) — music, sound effect and haptics toggles, your chosen diorama light, and the almanac reminder hour. Reading and writing these settings is a required-reason API use declared under reason CA92.1 in the app's privacy manifest, and involves no data leaving the device.

Keepsake photos — if you choose to attach a photo of a real church to a card, the photo you pick from your library or capture with the camera is resized and saved only inside the app's own storage on your device. It is never uploaded, transmitted, or shown to anyone but you.

Camera and photo library

Tejuela asks for camera access only if you choose to take a new keepsake photo for a church card, and for photo library access only if you choose to pick an existing photo instead. Neither permission is requested until you actually use that feature, and declining either one simply means that feature is unavailable — everything else in the game keeps working normally.

Notifications

If you turn on the optional daily almanac reminder in Settings, Tejuela asks for local notification permission at that moment. The reminder is scheduled and delivered entirely on your device; no reminder content or schedule is ever sent anywhere else.

Children's privacy

Tejuela contains no data collection, no accounts, no chat and no ability to contact anyone, so it is safe for players of any age. Because the app collects nothing, there is nothing about a child (or anyone else) for us to gather, store remotely, or disclose.

Changes to this policy

If this policy ever changes, the updated version will be posted at this same address with a new "last updated" date. Continuing to use Tejuela after a change means you accept the revised policy.
