About Tejuela
Tejuela is an isometric tower-defense game about protecting two families of
timber churches: the stave churches of Norway (Urnes, Borgund, Heddal and more)
and the shingled churches of Chiloé, Chile (Achao, Castro, Dalcahue, Nercón,
Tenaún and more). Place craftsmen along the paths to hold back rot, beetles,
gales, moss and lightning across one church "century" at a time. The game runs
fully offline — no account, ads or purchases.
Frequently asked questions
- A church level feels too hard — what should I do?
- Each church offers three difficulties: Calm, Weathered and Tempest. Try a
calmer setting first, then spend shavings in the Workshop to train your
trades before attempting a harder one.
- Will my progress carry over if I get a new phone?
- Progress is stored only on your device, so it does not automatically
transfer. There is no account to sign back into, so a fresh install starts a
fresh game.
- Why is the app asking for camera or photo access?
- Only if you choose to attach a personal "keepsake" photo to a church card
— for example, a photo you took at the real church. Declining still lets you
play every part of the game.
- Does Tejuela use my location, contacts or any online account?
- No. Tejuela requests no such access and has no online features at all. See
the privacy policy for full details.
